Will you master the Harakiri slope?
First things first: the Harakiri slope in Austria is not for beginners or fearful skiers. Those who dare to tackle Austria’s steepest run must be absolutely confident on the skis – or on their snowboard. In addition to advanced skiing skills, excellent body control and knowledge of all FIS (International Ski and Snowboard Federation) rulesof conduct are also required. And make sure to have the right equipment, from sharpened skis to a helmet: absolutely essential on the Harakiri slope. If you don’t have your own, it’s best to contact one of the numerous rental shops in the area during your skiing holiday in Mayrhofen.
