Cross-country skiing in Mayrhofen

The Zillertal valley offers some fantastic cross-country skiing opportunities: you can choose from nine cross-country trails in the area around Mayrhofen. At the start of each trail is an orientation board which displays your current location. Along the trail itself, signs display the distance from the end destination. All of the trails are classified as easy. A cross-country trail plan is available from the tourist office.

Cross-country skiing holiday in the Zillertal valley

The cross-country trail which runs out of the valley to Uderns starts in Mayrhofen. You can follow the well-prepared trail for approx. 20 km through the snowy Winter landscape at the foot of the white mountains. Breathe in the fresh Winter air of the beautiful Zillertal valley and look forward to a well-deserved drink or meal at a mountain hut at the end. You can make your way back up the gentle slope on skis or take the bus.  Another tip: enjoy walking through the deep crunchy snows on the footpaths or take a trip through the Winter landscapes on a horse-drawn sledge – this is what Winter holidays are all about in the Zillertal valley.
